During this previous weekend, Woodrow Wilson High School (WWHS) celebrated yet another one of its widely beloved homecoming dances at the Raleigh County Convention Center. The dance was held between the hours of 7 pm and 10 pm, which many students reported flew by in a flash. This event was arranged by Coach Chad Sarrett and many other faculty members at the school.
The Homecoming Dance is an opportunity for current students to form memories with friends and celebrate their flying eagle spirit.
At the dance, there were many things offered to make the experience more memorable and enjoyable to all the attending guests. Refreshments offered included bottles of water, cookies, ice cream with optional toppings, and many other sweet treats that could appeal to any amount of attendees. Also available was a picture station that students and any other person in attendance could have photos taken of them for free. These pictures could have been printed out in strips of three, emailed, or messaged to the recipient/s.
Likely a unanimous favorite at the dance was the DJ. It’s widely agreed upon by majority of the attendees that the DJ did an amazing job with the music selection. A few examples of music that was played at the function was Not Like Us by Kendrick Lamar, Cotton-Eyed Joe, Party in the U.S.A. by Miley Cyrus, Cha Cha Slide by DJ Casper, along with many other audience favorites. Overall, the WWHS Homecoming Dance was a smashing success this year, as it always tends to be among the flying eagles.
