Woodrow Wilson High School welcomes back Ms. Morgan Bryant as a new Health and Gym Educator. An alumni of Liberty High School, Bryant grew up in the Raleigh County Schools system. Originally starting her career at Woodrow in 2018, a transference to Preston High School was made.
Inspirations for becoming a health and physical education teacher stem from the memories between her and her father. “He’s always taught me to be healthy and to take care of my body, we like to run together.” Bryant’s strong bond with her father inspired her to pass on the lessons she had been taught. In 2018 she obtained a degree in wellness education and later finished her academic journey with a master’s in mathematics from Marshall University.
Starting off the school year, Bryant has felt a warm sense of welcome from faculty and students alike, “the students are fun to be around, they seem to be excited to learn.” The personal goals of Bryant include having her pupils use the information given in class. During lessons discussion is encouraged, questions are explored, and group work is implored. “I think it is important for students to learn how to work with other people.”
Passions of Bryant include running, paddle boarding, skiing, and taking her pet pug on walks. In fact, during her time at school she ran with such determination, that she found herself in the Marshall University Marathon.
One thing Bryant has noticed above all else is the pride the students and staff of Woodrow Wilson High School have for their home. “I immediately could see how proud the teachers and students were of this school.” With sincerity in our disembodied voice, the Eagle Dispatch extends that pride as our school welcomes back a formal Flying Eagle.
