Cheering Eagles Make Their Way To States

Cheering Eagles Make Their Way To States

The Woodrow Wilson High School Cheer Team has had many wins this season. On Nov. 4, 2023, at Riverside, the group became regional champions, earning them a spot in states on Dec. 9 in Huntington. Currently, the girls are practicing Monday through Saturday every week. They additionally conditioned over the holiday break. Over the course of the year, the team has added many complexities to their routine to allow for the best performance possible. Though routine is a big part of the scoring process, cheering is also an important factor. While excited about the possibility of earning the title of state champions, the girls also recognize the talent across the other schools competing. However, they feel well prepared by both the leadership of the coach and captains, along with the incredible abilities of individuals on the team.
