With the Marching Band Season coming to a close, seniors are holding on tight to what could be their last march. Being in the band is similar to being in a family. You might not always agree with your classmates, but you always end up loving them. “Remember that you’re a family, it’s not just you,” senior Piper Dangerfield reflects. Band helps students socially and allows them the opportunity to understand the value of hard work.
Recently, the band completed a double competition in Class B. The first competition was hosted by Greenbrier East and resulted in first place overall in band, drum major, percussion, color guard, soloist, and Governor’s Cup. During the second competition at Princeton Senior High School, the band once again triumphed with first place overall in band, drum major, color guard, and Governor’s Cup. With these great winnings, seniors of the Marching Band are planning to pursue the art of music in college.
The final WMBI Competition will be held on Saturday, Oct. 21.
