Woodrow Wilson High School’s dance team held the yearly fundraiser, Little Miss Lassies Friday, Sept.22. Members of the Lassie team chose an elementary-aged child to mentor and dance with on the sidelines for community involvement and fundraising. During the game, the mentees wore matching shirts to pair with the dance team uniforms. Shirts with sponsors who have donated over 25 dollars will be made at a later date. This year the team raised 7,000 dollars. Coach Julie Doyle is the responsible party for ordering shirts. The Lassies were responsible for teaching their respected mentee the routines prior to the game. Whichever pair gained the most money received an award, a stash and crown the night of the game. The 2023 winners included Camryn Harris and her assigned mentee. The money raised will be used for pom-pom replacements, costuming, senior gifts, and first-aid equipment for the team.
