For many, the Snowball dance is a joyous celebration filled with excitement. For Dalya Hasan, who had the honor of being crowned Snowball queen, this event holds a special significance. “It was amazing to experience something like that with my friends—a memory I hope I never forget!” Her involvement in the Sub-deb club provided her with the opportunity to compete for the title of Snowball Queen. Throughout her high school years, Dalya has been a very prominent student, passionately participating in various sports, including volleyball and tennis. “I have played volleyball for 10 years, since third grade and have played tennis for three years, since 10 grade.” Her accomplishments and the support of her friends during this meaningful time make the experience even more heartfelt and memorable.
Dalya reflects on her time at Woodrow with a sense of excitement and gratitude. “It takes effort to manage classes, sports, and other in school or outside events. However, it has been more than worth it!” She has immersed herself in a range of academic activities, including being part of the volleyball and tennis teams, the National Honor Society, Girl Scouts, and the Sub-deb Club. She also has earned six college credits. As she looks ahead to graduation and prepares to attend West Virginia University to major in Pre-Med Biology, Dalya offers heartfelt advice to upcoming seniors, “Do all of the ‘senior things’! Make the crafts, take the pictures, and have the best time you can.”
