Woodrow Wilson High School’s Art Club is currently welcoming students into the organization who wish to join. Mrs. Lynsi Boyd has earned a bachelor’s degree in art from Concord University and has hosted the group since 2018. Known for doing community projects through the years, students are planning on beautifying the local area in 2024. Currently, they are working on an art gallery and painting a mural for Raleigh County Commission on Aging. “It will feature a house with a phrase saying, ‘our happy place.’” Additionally, throughout the year, participants are encouraged to complete workshops at Beckley Art Center, paint faces at Woodrow games, and submit their masterpieces to the spring county art show.
