Woodrow Wilson High School held its annual Homecoming Parade on Oct 12. The parade took place in uptown Beckley where many people crowded the streets to watch and gather candy. Elementary and middle schools participated in the parade, along with the Woodrow Wilson sports teams and marching band. The parade also showcased the courts for Homecoming, Prom, Miss Flying Eagle, and Sweetheart Court. Each grade level in the student council crafted a float for the parade. The theme of the parade this year was Pixar. The Pixar movies that the grade levels picked were Inside Out (freshmen), Monsters, Inc. (sophomores), Toy Story (juniors), and Up (seniors.) Each float was judged and the results will be revealed later in the school year.
