No Turning Back: The Sunshine Protection Act

On Tuesday, March 15, 2022, the United States Senate passed the Sunshine Protection Act. The bill is still pending approval awaiting a House of Representatives vote and President Biden’s signature. If passed, two more time changes will occur then will come to an end in 2023 where Americans will stop moving their clocks back and forth between seasons.

If the bill becomes law, 2023 Spring Forward would be the final adjustment.

Daylight Savings Time was invented July 1, 1908. The program originated to assist farmers by affecting the amount of daylight that they could access to help their crops and animals.
